講座教授：Benny Kim教授

Benny 於十歲時啓蒙於鈴木教學法權威 Doris Preucil, 並持續與Almita Vamos 學習。

他在15歲時便贏得由芝加哥交響樂團主辦之協奏曲比賽, 同年與該團首演, 並於次年贏得 St. Louis Symphony Youth Auditions

及 Julius Stulberg Auditions。於茱莉亞音樂學院就讀其間, Benny 受教於美國小提琴教母 Dorothy DeLay, 並且從該校取得學士及碩士學位。

1983年, 年僅20歲的 Benny, 贏得 Young Concert Artists 國際大賽, 從此展開他的職業演奏生涯。

除了獨奏之外, Benny 亦常與國際知名演奏家、室內樂團、以及樂團合作演出,

例如：小提琴家 Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson 三重奏, 芝加哥、波士頓、辛辛那提、底特律交響樂團等。

此外, Benny常受邀於各大音樂節演出, 如 Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, Music from Angel Fire, Bravo!-Vail Valley Music Festival, and Chamber Music Northwest 等。其足跡遍佈美國所有重要舞台, 以及歐、亞、非多國。Benny 現任教於密蘇里大學堪薩斯城分校,並於 Miami String Quartet 擔任第一小提琴手。
