國立清華大學藝術學院音樂學系由著名男高音暨音樂教育家楊兆禎教授規劃創立。本系秉持「專業卓越、紮實創新」之精神，致力於培育具備深厚音樂素養、精湛演奏演唱能力與成熟舞台表現力之專業音樂人才。教學核心以表演藝術為本，強調從個人技藝鍛鍊到整體藝術詮釋的完整養成，提供學生多元且扎實的學習歷程。
The Department of Music, College of Arts, National Tsing Hua University, was founded under the planning of Professor Yang Zhao-Zhen, a distinguished tenor and music educator. Upholding the spirit of professional excellence and solid innovation, the Department is devoted to cultivating music professionals with strong musical literacy, refined performance skills, and mature stage presence. Centered on the art of performance, the curriculum emphasizes comprehensive training from individual technique to artistic interpretation.
目前本系設有學士班與碩士班，學生總數約200人，其中學士班每級約38人，碩士班每級約20人。透過適切的辦學規模與精緻化教學，本系得以兼顧個別指導與整體培育，協助學生在穩固專業基礎之上，持續提升演奏演唱實力與藝術表達能力。
The Department currently offers bachelor’s and master’s programs, with a total enrollment of approximately 200 students. Each undergraduate cohort includes about 38 students, while each master’s cohort enrolls around 20 students. This balanced scale enables refined instruction and close mentorship, helping students strengthen their technical foundation and continuously develop their artistic and performance abilities.

1. 專業演奏演唱訓練
Professional Training in Performance and Voice
本系以主修訓練為核心，重視器樂與聲樂之專業養成，並透過個別課、室內樂、歌劇實務、合奏與樂團訓練，建立學生穩固的演奏演唱基礎。從技巧、音色、風格掌握到作品詮釋與舞台表現，本系強調全面而系統性的表演能力培育。 The Department places major-study training at the core of its curriculum and emphasizes the professional development of both instrumental and vocal performance. Through individual instruction, chamber music, opera practice, ensemble training, and orchestral experience, students build a solid foundation in performance and singing. From technique, tone production, and stylistic command to musical interpretation and stage presence, the Department stresses comprehensive and systematic cultivation of performance excellence.
2. 重視舞台實踐與藝術表達
Emphasis on Stage Practice and Artistic Expression
本系強化舞台表演訓練，鼓勵學生透過各類展演機會累積演出經驗，在實際舞台中深化音樂理解與表現能力。教學不僅著重技術精進，更重視音樂語彙的傳達、情感層次的掌握，以及演出者與觀眾之間的藝術溝通。
The Department strongly emphasizes stage practice and encourages students to accumulate performance experience through a variety of presentation opportunities. Training goes beyond technical refinement to include the communication of musical language, emotional depth, and the artistic connection between performer and audience.
3. 完整進階學習架構
A Structured Path for Advanced Study
碩士班設有音樂學、理論作曲及演奏組等專業分組，其中演奏組涵蓋鋼琴、聲樂、弦樂、管樂與指揮等領域，提供學生清晰而完整之進階訓練方向。學士班與碩士班課程相互銜接，使學生得以依其專長與志趣，逐步深化專業表演實力。
The master’s program includes specialized tracks in musicology, theory and composition, and performance. The performance division encompasses piano, voice, strings, winds, and conducting, offering students a clear and well-structured path for advanced professional training. The continuity between the undergraduate and graduate curricula allows students to further develop their artistic strengths in a focused and progressive manner.
三、師資陣容
3. Faculty
本系現有專任教師15位、兼任教師約60位，師資背景來自美國、義大利、德國、法國、俄國等國內外知名學府，涵蓋鋼琴、聲樂、弦樂、管樂、打擊、指揮、理論作曲、音樂學、教育及應用音樂等專業領域。完整而多元的師資陣容，提供學生在不同演奏演唱領域中接受專業而細緻之指導。
The Department is supported by 15 full-time faculty members and approximately 60 adjunct instructors, whose academic and professional backgrounds span renowned institutions in Taiwan and abroad, including the United States, Italy, Germany, France, and Russia. Their expertise covers piano, voice, strings, winds, percussion, conducting, theory and composition, musicology, music education, and applied music, providing students with expert and detailed guidance across a wide range of performance fields.
本系並定期舉辦大師班與學術講座，邀請國內外音樂家與學者蒞校指導。透過與不同演奏風格、詮釋觀點及教學傳統的接觸，學生得以拓展藝術視野，深化對作品與舞台表現的理解。
The Department regularly hosts master classes and lectures by distinguished artists and scholars from Taiwan and abroad. Through exposure to different performance traditions, interpretive perspectives, and teaching approaches, students broaden their artistic horizons and deepen their understanding of repertoire and stage performance.

本系重視國際視野之拓展，持續推動國際音樂交流與交換學生機會，並藉由大師班、講座與跨國互動，提升學生對不同文化與表演風格之理解。對於以演奏演唱為志業的學生而言，國際交流不僅是視野的拓展，更是藝術表現力與舞台成熟度的重要養成歷程。
The Department places great importance on international engagement by promoting music exchange opportunities and student exchange programs. Through master classes, lectures, and international interaction, students gain a deeper understanding of diverse musical cultures and performance traditions. For those pursuing careers in performance, such exchange is not only a matter of broadening perspective, but also an essential part of artistic growth and stage maturity.
五、教學空間與展演環境
5. Facilities and Performance Environment
本系持續建構專業級教學與展演空間，提供學生優質之排練、演出與學習環境。藝術學院大樓將設有350人座演奏廳，作為教學成果發表、音樂會演出與專業訓練的重要場域，使學生得以在正式空間中累積舞台經驗。
The Department continues to develop professional teaching and performance facilities that support rehearsal, performance, and study. The College of Arts Building will include a 350-seat recital hall, serving as an important venue for student performances, concerts, and professional training, and allowing students to gain valuable stage experience in a formal performance setting.
此外，興建中的君山音樂廳規劃為音響卓越之專業級演出場館，擁有1,283席演出空間，未來將為大型音樂會、展演交流及專業藝術活動提供更完整之平台，進一步提升本系在演奏演唱教育上的整體能量。
In addition, the Junshan Concert Hall, currently under construction, is planned as a professional venue with outstanding acoustics and seating for 1,283 audience members. In the future, it will provide a more comprehensive platform for large-scale concerts, artistic exchange, and professional performance activities, further strengthening the Department’s capacity for performance-centered music education.
六、升學與職涯發展
6. Further Study and Career Development
本系畢業生在升學與職涯發展上表現多元，約三分之一畢業生選擇繼續攻讀國內外碩士學位，持續精進其音樂專業。另有畢業生活躍於各類樂團、舞台演出、音樂教育及相關藝術領域，展現本系在培育演奏演唱人才方面之深厚成果。
Graduates of the Department pursue diverse paths in both further study and professional development. Approximately three-quarters continue on to graduate study in Taiwan or abroad, advancing their musical training at a higher level. Others become active in orchestras, stage performance, music education, and related artistic fields, reflecting the Department’s strong achievements in cultivating professional performers and vocal artists.
