『國立清華大學藝術學院音樂學系』由國內知名男高音暨音樂教育家楊兆禎教授規劃設立。多年來音樂學系在音樂藝術領域中持續追求專業卓越除課程設計豐富多元紮實創新之外亦著重跨領域合作朔造美學素養拓展學生豐富的音樂藝術表演舞台。在國際視野上,本系積極開拓國際學術交流,邀請國際知名音樂家至校演出暨指導,提供國際交換學生的甄選機會,使音樂專業能力提升至全球化、現代化的藝術水平。

清華大學音樂學系以培養藝術表演人才、教育學者與跨領域人才為宗旨持續努力,並朝學生獨立思考及學術研究能力的專業音樂人及跨領域人才為核心目標,期許學生在藝術及跨領域中成為造就未來、引領社會的能人。

目前設有大學部學士班(每年級39)、碩士班(每年級約21),學生總計約215人。

   “The National Tsing Hua University College of Arts Department of Music,” was established by professor YANG Zhao-Zhen, a domestically well-known tenor and educator. For many years, the Department of Music has dedicated in pursuing professional excellence in the field of music, aside from our rich, diverse, and innovative curriculum design, we also emphasizes the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration to cultivate aesthetics appreciation, which can expand the stage of the student’s musical art performances. From a global perspective, our department actively engages in international academic exchange, such as inviting world-renowned musician to our department to perform and instruct, providing international exchange opportunities, etc. All this effort is to promote our students’ professional skills to a global and modern artistic standard.The purpose of NTHU Department of Music is to continuously foster performing artists, educationalists (educational scholars) and interdisciplinary talents, our core goal is to cultivate professional musicians and intergrated experts who are capable of independent thinking and carry out academic research. We anticipate our students to create a new future in the field of art, and become leaders for the next generation. We currently have Bachelor’s degree (39 students per grade), and Master’s degree (approximately 21 students per a grade), a total of 215 students.

 

師資介紹

    About Faculty

本系目前13位專任教師,包含教授4位、副教授6位、助理教授2位、講師1位,兼任教師約55位。專任師資群具備美國、英國、德國、俄國及博士、碩士學位,含括鋼琴、聲樂、弦樂、管樂、理論作曲、打擊、藝術行政等專業領域近年也陸續增聘數位兼任師資,括傑出的新生代演奏音樂家、指揮、音樂學、弦樂、理論創作與應用音樂等專業師資。每學期舉行多場次的學術講座與大師班,學生得以零距離接受不同國內外知名音樂家指導,強化精緻學習暨豐富教學師資陣容

We have 13 full-time teachers, including 4 professors, 6 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, a lecturer and 55 part-time teachers. Our full-time staff member have received their Doctoral and Master’s degrees from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Taiwan; they specialize in areas such as piano, vocal, string, wind, theory of composition, percussion, and artistic administrator, etc. In recent years we have invited talented part-time staff members to join us, such as emerging musicians, conductors, and instructors who specialize in musicology, string, theory and compostion and applied music. Every semester we hold numerous lectures and master classes, so that our students can be instructed by various international and domestic well-known artists in order to increase the quality of the student’s learning experience and enrich our faculty. 

 

教學環境與設備

Teaching Environment and Facilities

    歷年來,音樂學系在更新教學環境、設備、師資群及學生個人學習空間等均挹注甚大,如:添購D-274史坦威演奏型平台琴、YAMAHA平台鋼琴、修繕學生練習琴房等,未來即將新建”藝術大樓”(內含350人座之演奏廳)及”君山音樂廳”(約1000席),提供師生優質的學習殿堂及專業級的表演場所,接軌國際,使國立清華大學音樂學系邁向卓越。

Over the years, the Department of Music have been upgrading and investing greatly in its teaching environment, facilities, faculty, and student’s learning spaces; for instance, equipping Steinway D-274, YAMAHA grand pianos and furnishing practice rooms. In the future we will soon have a newly built building named “The Art building” (an auditorium hall with 350 seats) and “The Chun Shan Concert Hall” (with 1000 seats), which will provide our faculty and students with high quality learning space and a professional performance area to achieve international standards and lead the department towards excellence.

    基於此教育理念,目前音樂學系南大校區的教學環境為一完整獨立的主體建築(音樂一館、音樂二館 )。

    Based on this ideal, the teaching environment located on the Nanda Campus is fully independent and equipped building (Music building I and II).

系館備有:170座位新改建之演奏廳、研究室12間、合奏教室、ㄧ般型大教室4間、個別教學琴房9間、學生琴房36間、大師班教室、會議室、打擊教室、電腦教室等。

    Our department has an auditorium hall with 170 seats, 12 research rooms, an ensemble classroom, 4 large classrooms, 9 piano rooms for individual teaching, 36 piano rooms for students, master classroom, conference room, percussion classroom, and computer classroom.

    除上述空間外,音樂系還設有專業錄音工作室及數位音頻工作軟體、多軌道專業音樂錄音設備、音樂製作軟體FINALE教育版、倍低音管、英國管、管鐘等軟硬體設備,並陸續更換維護學生練習琴房地板、隔音板,並更新各教室投影系統、音響系統,提供學生更加完善的演奏、表演、練習空間,藉以提昇授課實務操作、增進知能深度與生活美學,創造師生共同學習與生活的優質場域。

In addition to the above-mentioned facilities, our department also has some paricular instruments like contrabassoon, english horn, chimes and professional recording studio equipped with softwares, including digital audio software and finale music notation software in educational version, and hardware such as expert multitrack recording devices, etc. Still, to provide a more fully-functional performance and practice zone, we gradually renovate the floors and acoustic panels in individual practice rooms, setting up new projectors and audio equipments. All above renewals enhances the quantity of practical practice in class, promote the depth of consciousness and asthetics in dailylife and create a high-quality field for teachers and students to learn together and enjoy their life in the music department.

 

課程特色

Course Features

ㄧ、學士班課程

  1. Undergraduate Program

    本系學士班自107學年度起每年招生39名。課程學習依主修樂器規劃課程架構,並注重各類型室內重奏(唱)與樂團的訓練,使學生成為具聆聽與溝通能力的音樂人。重點階梯課程除音樂理論與史學的知識養成外,舞台表演及各類型教學法與實務訓練是本系強項教學內涵,近年也逐步增加與音樂工業、歌劇展演及產學合作所需之相關課程,如音樂治療理論與實務 、音樂產業創新與營運 、跨領域表演技巧(Interdisciplinary Performing Technique Ⅰ) 、編創劇場劇場排演實務、電影配樂概論、流行音樂應用課程,而110學年度也因音樂系發展方向增修課程,如:語韻學、聲樂作品研究、管弦樂作品研究與實務、鋼琴調音與基本維修,等多元跨領域課程,以拓展學生廣域的性向發展與競爭能力。

  Beginning from 2018, we have 39 undergraduate students enroll in our department each year. The course framework is designed according to the musical instrument that is taught, and we also carry out training for all types of ensemble and band. These efforts are to help students acquire the ability to listen and communicate as a music professional. Our key program, not only emphasizes on the cultivation of theory and history but also stage performances, teaching methodologies, and practice. In recent years, we have also increased courses regarding the music industry, opera performance and industrial collaborations such as Theories of Music Therapy, Innovation and Operation for Music Industry, Interdisciplinary Performing Technique, Devised Theatre, Music and Drama Theatre, Introduction to Film Music, The Application of Pop music, etc. In 2021, as the adjustment of added curricula in specific areas such as Diction, Vocal Literature, Orchestral Excerpts from the Symphonic Repertoire for Strings, Piano Tuning and Repair and several and multiple interdisciplinary learning programs. Our courses are designed to expand student’s field of interests and enhance their competitiveness.

二、碩士班課程

2. Graduate Program

    本系碩士班自106學年度起每年招生21名,以教學分組架構運行,包括音樂工程與應用音樂組、台灣音樂組、鋼琴組、聲樂組、弦樂組、管樂組及理論作曲組。每組均有共同必修、各組必選及共同選修等專業課程,除此之外跨領域課程設計也是修習重點。專門課程亦依主修別規劃完善課程架構,在學術及表演實務之進階學習外、也將培養音樂與科技、健康促進之跨領域能力。110學年度更增設共同選修課程如:音樂學的理論與方法、歌劇研究方法導論、後調性音樂分析、藝術素養與創意思考、藝術管理與組織領導、藝術策展與創意行銷,以聚集「跨組、跨領域」的學習能量,達到學習資源共享,促進就業能力,期待碩士班學生能以音樂為工具,成為擁有深化聆聽、溝通及獨立執行學術研究能力與精神的音樂專業人。

Beginning from 2017, we have 21 graduate students enroll in our department each year. We divide these student into various discipline, such as music engineering, commercial music, Taiwan music, piano, vocal, string music, wind music, theory and composition. All disciplines have mutual compulsory courses, and each discipline has their own core and elective courses. Moreover, cross-disciplinary ciruculum design is also one of our unique learning features. Specialized courses are planned according to the student’s major, so aside from their advanced academic and performance learning, our students will cultivate abilities regarding music and technology, as well as combining different fields of expertise. In addition, we develop collabrative and elective courses such as Theory and Methodology of Musicology, Introduction to Methods of Opera Research, Analytical approaches to post-tonal music, Art Literacy and Creative Thinking, Arts Management and Leadership, Creative Curating, Producing and Marketing. The aim is to attain the interdisciplibary learning, share learning resource and promote the employability. We anticipate our graduate students to acquire the ability to listen, communicate, and research as a music professional.

    本系目前已建立與市場、生活連結的課程學習,如音樂治療理論與實務 -協助建立桃竹苗醫療體系合作網;鋼琴教學與經營實務 -與新竹地區音樂教育機構及小學等均實質的培訓計劃與成果;劇場排演實務 -與線上劇場導演、舞台燈光技術指導、服裝設計師等跨領域合作。未來將以新竹地區清華理工資源為基底,結合音樂與科技跨領域的實驗課程,期許在創作表現上建立特色指標。本系亦持續規劃『藝術走入社區、音樂生活化』之展演與講座,以清華為後盾,注入資源,強化國際音樂交流,增加國際級音樂家駐校計畫及國際交換學生數量、簽訂國際發展音樂產學合作模式,全面開發本系師生國際音樂表演平台。

    Our department has currently established courses that connects our students to the market and daily life, for example, we have help build the Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli medical cooperation system for our Theories of Music Therapy course; we have also the Practical Piano Teaching and Career Management course that collaborates with music education institutes and elementary schools in the Hsinchu area to teach and train children to play the piano; as for the Music and Drama Theatre courses, we have cooperated with directors, stage lighting technicians, fashion designers, etc. In the near future, we will focus on the science and engineering resources at Tsing Hua University as our base and develop experimental courses that integrates music and technology, hopefully this will bring unique features into the field of music. Our department will continue to organize performances and lectures for the “Art engaging in community, music engaging in our daily lives” project. We anticipate to employ the foundation of Tsing Hua and inject resources that can enhance international exchange, such as inviting more artists to do artist-in-resident projects, increase the number of international exchange students, and develop more international industry-academia collaboration opportunities. These efforts and made to expand the international platforms as much as possible for our teachers and students.

Prospects after graduation

    本系近年來持續在專業課程設計與教學的精緻化做更新,為學生發展個人特色做努力,並建立就業市場競爭力。音樂學系於多年努力下,不僅養成卓越之技藝等豐碩成果,音樂人才更是輩出。學士班畢業者,每屆選擇就讀國內外碩士學位比例約四分之三,每屆約三至五位學生選擇在師資培育的學程架構下進入小學實習。碩士班畢業者,因具備音樂演奏與教育的專業能力,深受專業音樂教育機構認同,多聘任於專業音樂教學與行政業務。歷年來,多位優秀校友已成為學校、各音樂團體(合唱團、各類型樂團)的重要教師、演出成員、指揮與行政幹部。音樂產業近年於新興市場,如音樂結合科技在電影、戲劇、音樂劇等相關產業將會有新的需求人力,本系將逐步豐富跨領域的學習課程,讓學生學習全面國際化。紮實表演技巧的養成訓練是音樂系的主軸,豐富學術培養及企業的經費挹注,更將使本系成為台灣當代培養藝術人文素養的標竿系所。

        The Department of Music has continuously upgraded its course design, along with its teaching methodology. We are dedicated to assist students to develop their own features and increase their competitiveness. After years of effort, our department not only have fostered students to achieve technical excellence, but have cultivated many professionals. Each year, three-quarters of our undergraduate students have chosen to apply either a domestic or international Master’s degree; three to four students that are under the teacher education program, have chosen to do an internship at various elementary schools. For those whom have completed their Master’s degree are often accepted into professional music teaching and administrative institutions. Many of our alumni have become important instructors, performs, composers, administrators in schools and music groups (including choir and all types of band). The music industry has recently become one of the emerging markets, such as combing music and technology to apply in films, theater, musicals, and so on. These new areas of profession are in shortage for manpower, in which our department will gradually enrich our cross-disciplinary courses to globalize our students’ learning perspectives. Down to earth performance training is the core value of our department, with the rich academic cultivation and the balance funding from enterprises, the Department of Music has become the benchmark for cultivating the arts and humanity in the modern era in Taiwan.
